Preparation FAQ's

For the most part, avoid wearing anything distracting. In other words, avoid the following:

  • Very bright colors
  • Too many colors
  • Clothing with prominent logos and slogans
  • Pure, bright white
  • Shiny fabrics

Stay with discreet jewelry & accessories.

Include casual, trendy and formal wear in your wardrobe choices if the session includes three or more changes.

If you have a school activity role that requires a uniform, by all means, include that.

We recommend that you hire a professional Makeup Artist for your photos. Even if you do your own hair and makeup every day. Makeup for photography is slightly different and requires more perfection than everyday makeup. The pros know how to get your look “just right” for the camera.

For high school seniors, head-shots, and model portfolios, we would be happy to arrange hair and makeup services for you if you wish. We will be happy to provide a quote.

Firstly, depending on the type of session, you must pay a retainer of 10%-50% of the total cost of the shoot. This includes the cost of hair and makeup if you’ve chosen that option. The retainer will confirm your session date, and is non-refundable.

Secondly, the full balance is due no less than two weeks before your shoot date. Payment plans are available if the session is booked well in advance. You may reschedule your shoot without losing your retainer if you give at least two business day’s notice.

Usage FAQ's

Proofs are low-resolution versions of the photos we took during your photo session. Firstly, proofs usually have light re-touching and adjustments done to them. Secondly, the image is overlayed with a light watermark. The watermark indicates that the image is a proof and should not be shared or distributed.

The proof is like a draft version of the photo. Their purpose is to allow you to choose the best photos from the shoot for final re-touching and preparation for the end product(s).

We re-touch the final images you choose. We’ll remove blemishes, even out skin tone, and ensure that your eyes look clear and sharp. We also adjust color and calibrate it for printing.

Above all, we try to avoid an over-processed or “plastic” look. Instead, we strive to produce a photo that captures your personality and still looks like you, but at your very best.

Yes! We hope you will find an image that will look great on social media because it is self-representational. We strive to create images that look like you on your very best day. So, why not use this kind of photo to show who you are on Facebook and other social media.

We include a Personal Use License with most of our photo packages. The license grants you permission to use the licensed photos that you’ve purchased for your personal and promotional needs. In other words, you may copy, print and distribute that licensed image. However, you may not sell that image to anyone else.

Yes! You may purchase licenses for as many additional images as you wish from the proofs that we’ve provided to you. The base price for a headshot image license is $35 plus local taxes. The price goes down if you wish to purchase several of them.

We typically have the finished products ready within 30 days of placing the order. However, this may vary depending on the package chosen. Also, all finished images will be available as digital files, either on a USB drive or a link to a secure folder. We deliver the digital files as high-resolution JPG files suitable for printing up to 8″x 10″. Also, we include web resolution JPG files suitable for sharing on the Internet (social media, profile pictures, emailing to agents, etc.)

We’ll contact you when your order is ready.

A headshot ( or head shot) is a photograph of a person’s face. It is a form of portraiture. The purpose of a headshot is to show the subject’s personality, or character. Headshots are used in the modeling and acting businesses and are vital to the careers of many businesses and sales executives who use them on business cards, company web sites and social media sites like LinkedIn. Most actors have a headshot that they will provide to employers.

Lifestyle FAQ's

Lifestyle photography is a genre of photography that mainly aims to capture portraits of people in situations, real-life events or milestones in an artistic manner and the art of the everyday. The primary goal is to tell stories about people’s lives or to inspire people in different times.

Lifestyle product photography is used to show a product within a styled scene. Primarily, it should demonstrate the main function of the product and how and where a potential customer could use it. Incidentally, Lifestyle product photography can include models. But, this is not a requirement.

Lifestyle models have less rigorous requirements than, say, Fashion or Glamor modes. They come in all shapes, sizes, and ages. Therefore, advertisers and event managers use them to depict a specific lifestyle to which they can associate their product or event. Lifestyle models look like the rest of us. As a result, they are used more in advertising and events than any of the other modeling categories.
