Nathalie and Trevor recently celebrated their thirtieth wedding anniversary. I was honored to be the photographer who captured some of the memorable moments from their special day all those years ago. It is gratifying to see the pleasure the photographs give them, their family and friends and to know that I contributed a small part to the day.

It is also a reminder that while today’s technology provides the instant gratification of digital images taken on cell phones and posted on social media as the event unfolds, these images on tiny screens are likely to be lost or forgotten as the platform changes and the technology evolves. In contrast, it is the “tangible assets” like printed photographs, framed photos on the wall and photo albums that will still be here long after the technology ages out.
