I was fortunate enough to finally make my return to the Carolina Cup after a long hiatus due to Covid and other engagements. Welcome to the 2023 Carolina Cup photo Gallery as seen through Duncan’s camera lens.
Despite the constantly changing weather forecasts leading up to the event, I was pleasantly surprised by how the day turned out. Although the timing of rain and wind from the final forecast was a bit off, the weather was manageable with some light rain, a thunder storm, and gloomy skies in the morning. But by 1pm, the skies cleared up and the rain stopped.
Most visitors anticipated the weather, so the usual display of hats was toned down, and umbrellas of all shapes and sizes were much in evidence. It was, however, quite a challenge to appreciate the guests fashion statements, while they were covered by various types of rain-gear.
Despite the weather, I had an absolute blast! I even made some new friends and captured some fantastic pictures. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait to attend the Carolina Cup again in the future. D.M.
