I knew that Saturday was going to be cold, but I missed the bit about the wind chill. To make matters worse, I forgot to pack gloves!  I searched through my car  but couldn’t find my favorite cold-weather photography gloves. The finger tips on these special gloves, or flip-top mittens, can fold back exposing the skin. This allows a firmer, more natural grip, and easier access to the small buttons and dials on the camera. When the camera is being used the tips are flipped off, otherwise they are flipped back on. 

While searching the car I was fortunate enough to find a couple of single gloves, one left and one right. Different colored gloves might have looked odd but at least my digits didn’t freeze.  And yes, when I got home I found the mittens, which are now safely stored in the car.
